Project Sponsors support existing
areas of research at ICSI by funding new or ongoing project initiatives.
Group Sponsors fund the creation of dedicated
Centers of Excellence that leverage ICSI competencies to promote
technology breakthroughs in selected fields. Centers of Excellence can
be fully housed at ICSI headquarters or, in the case of international
sponsorship, have joint locations at ICSI and in the sponsoring
country.
Sponsored researchers in both categories are
full-fledged members of the ICSI community, who also act as hosts and
liaisons to their sponsoring organizations. Project and Group Sponsors
receive all benefits of Affiliate and Visiting Members, including
royalty-free licenses to the work product of the researchers and
initiatives they sponsor. Customized intellectual property arrangements
can be negotiated at higher levels of support.
