ICSI Hosts ITR Meeting

On January 16th at ICSI, Liz Shriberg and Andreas Stolcke hosted a one-day meeting of researchers working on a new ITR project funded jointly by NSF and DHS. The goal of the project is to automatically detect emotion and deception from speech. The project focuses in particular on research for homeland security interests. This is a collaborative project between Columbia University (Julia Hirschberg, PI), SRI (Liz Shriberg, Andreas Stolcke), University of Colorado, Boulder (Brian Pellom, Laura Michaelis), and Stanford (Dan Jurafsky).
