Abstract

FrameNet (FN), Embodied Construction Grammar (ECG), and MetaNet (MN), are distinct from other linguistic resources since each relies on frame-based meaning representation, rather than logicsbased representation. This work addresses the need for frames, constructions, and metaphor in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Importantly, it also shows that computational linguistics must appeal to linguistic theory.
