Deborah Crawford

Deborah Crawford of ICSI's Board of Trustees

Deborah Crawford was the director of ICSI from August 2014 through April 2016. From 2010 to 2014 she served as senior vice provost for research of Drexel University. She spent 17 years at the National Science Foundation (NSF), where she held a number of executive positions, including deputy assistant director for computer and information science and engineering. She was also the founding director of NSF's Office of Cyberinfrastucture. Before joining NSF, Crawford held positions at AT&T Bell Labs, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the University of California at Santa Barbara, and the GEC Hirst Research Lab, where her research interests were in nano-electronic and -photonic devices and systems.
