Remote experiments are physical experiments controlled over the internet; they offer students the chance to learn and explore 24 hours / 7 days a week. In this talk, I present some of the remote experiments setup by my colleagues at the Institute of Technology, Berlin, describe the motivation behind this idea, and briefly go into the technology how to install them. I will then conclude with a brief description of the LiLa project, a project funded by the European Commission whose purpose is to establish a network of mutually shared experiments across Europe.
