Speaker Recognition in "Real Life"

Dr. Ran Gazit from PerSay will talk on Speaker Recognition in "Real Life". He will describe some commercial speaker recognition systems, their applications, features and algorithms, and will discuss some of the differences between "real life" data and NIST evaluations data.

Short Biography:

Ran holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, CA. Ran worked at RAFAEL, Israel on research and development of guidance and control laws for air-to-air missiles. As a research associate at Stanford University, Ran developed algorithms for the FAA's Wide Area DGPS project. He then switched from satellite navigation to speech processing, and went to lead the Speaker Recognition team of Comverse Technology. Ran is currently the CTO of PerSay, an Israel-based provider of speaker recognition solutions.
